The first step is always a paid consultation with a lawyer. If the relationship evidence is not there yet, or the twelve month rule bites, we say so in that meeting and tell you what to do about it.
The fee is fixed and in writing
You receive a professional services agreement with the fee, the instalments and the government charges listed separately, before any work starts.

Partner visas are decided on paper by someone who never meets you. We lodge decision-ready files with evidence under all four pillars, and we would rather take an extra fortnight than receive a request for more.

What a law practice gives you that an agent cannot.
Legal professional privilege over what you tell us. A duty to the court as well as to you. Regulation by the Victorian Legal Services Board, professional indemnity insurance, and a costs regime that requires the fee to be disclosed before work starts.
In practice it means the relationship submission is written as legal argument against regulation 1.15A, a refusal is taken to the Tribunal by someone who can appear there, and a difficult history on either side is handled by a person bound to give you frank advice.
