One fixed fee. Every government charge listed before you pay.
No hourly billing and no surprises at lodgement. The professional fee is quoted in writing after the consultation, and the government charges below are the current partner visa figures we quote against.
How the fee works
- A paid consultation with a lawyer comes first. If the relationship evidence is not there yet, you hear it there.
- The professional fee is fixed for the whole partner visa, both stages, and set out in a written agreement before work begins.
- Instalments are agreed up front, tied to the stages of the application.
- Government charges are listed separately in the same agreement and paid to the Department at lodgement.
What the Department charges for a partner visa.
Main applicant charges as at 1 July 2026, verified against the Home Affairs pricing table. Health examinations, police certificates and translations are additional and paid to third parties.

Consultation to permanent residence, in five steps.
The same sequence for every couple. The time between the steps depends on how quickly evidence comes together and on the Department, not on us.
Consultation
A paid session with a partner visa lawyer, in person or by video, both of you welcome. You bring your visa history and relationship timeline. You leave with the right subclass, the risks named and a costs breakdown.
Engagement
A professional services agreement with the fixed fee and instalments, and the government charges listed separately. Nothing starts until you have signed it.
Evidence and drafting
Your document request arrives within days, organised by pillar. We draft both statements, brief your Form 888 witnesses, and read every document for dates and names that must match.
Lodgement and decision
Lodged decision-ready, the sponsorship alongside. Every Department letter is forwarded with a note on what it means and what happens next.
The permanent stage
Around month 22 we send the update request for the 801 or 100, so the two year evidence is collected as you go rather than reconstructed later.
Costs, answered plainly.
Why is the consultation paid?
Because it is legal advice from a lawyer, not a sales call. You receive a real assessment of your relationship evidence and your timing, including a clear no where an application is not ready, and the cost is set out when you book.
Does the fixed fee cover both stages of the partner visa?
Yes. The temporary 820 or 309 and the permanent 801 or 100 are one matter with one fee, agreed in writing. The government charge of $11,710 also covers both stages.
Do you offer payment plans?
The fixed fee is split into instalments tied to the stages of the matter and agreed in the written agreement. Government charges are paid in full at lodgement because the Department requires it.
What if the application is refused?
The professional fee covers the application through to decision. A Tribunal review is a separate matter with its own fixed fee, quoted when the decision arrives and the grounds are known. The government charge is not refunded.
Can you quote without a consultation?
Not accurately. The fee depends on the subclass, how long you have been together, whether either of you has a previous refusal or a record, and how much evidence exists. A quote without looking at your facts would be a guess.
